The Canon RF 24-105mm f/2.8 L IS USM Z Lens is a landmark optic — the world’s first zoom lens to combine a 24-105mm focal range with a constant f/2.8 maximum aperture. Where photographers and filmmakers previously had to choose between the reach of 24-105mm or the speed of f/2.8, the RF 24-105mm Z delivers both in a single, dust- and weather-sealed L-series barrel, fundamentally changing what is possible with a standard zoom in low-light, run-and-gun, and cinematic production environments.

The optical image stabiliser delivers up to 8 stops of shake compensation when coordinated with compatible EOS R bodies, making handheld shooting at the 105mm end genuinely reliable even in failing light. The ‘Z’ designation signals the inclusion of a power zoom ring — enabling smooth, motorised focal length changes during video recording that are impossible to replicate manually without unwanted camera movement or zoom breathing artefacts. A 14-blade circular aperture produces exceptionally smooth, creamy bokeh across the entire zoom range, and the AF system delivers fast, near-silent autofocus for both stills and video workflows.
